   Pomnik Obrońców Poczty Polskiej w Gdańsku, odsłonięty 1 września 1979, upamiętnia bohaterów obrony Poczty Polskiej podczas ataku niemieckiego 1 września 1939.


    Zlokalizowany na placu Obrońców Poczty Polskiej, przedstawia umierającego pocztowca, który otrzymuje od bogini Nike karabin, a z torby pocztowej wylewają się listy. Wykonany ze stali nierdzewnej jest elementem tryptyku, obejmującego także pomniki w Częstochowie i Warszawie, tworzące kompleksowy hołd dla poległych w obronie ojczyzny.


   Odsłonięcia dokonał I sekretarz Komitetu Centralnego PZPR Edward Gierek.
